Status of Creative Gallery The Sims 3

I am having a few issues with the video portion I was thinking about using within The Sims 3. For some reason it's not allowing me to upload the videos to The Sims 3 website. I have yet to try YouTube, though. Also, I have taken pictures withing The Sims 3 of locations in China, France, and Egypt that I may use for Google Maps. I have a feeling this will be what I use if I am unable to tell a story through the videos I have created within The Sims 3.

If I use Google Maps, I plan to place The Sims3 pictures I captured within the game and place them at their actual locations on Google Maps. I have yet to decide if I will give background information about that location I found on the web, or tell a story about an adventure I have had within the game at that location. I feel that the adventure may be a bit boring, and for those who are not familiar with The Sims franchise, they wouldn't understand what's going on.

So, my question is whether or not I should tell a story about an adventure in the game that I did, or if I should give some basic background information about that location on the map. For example, I am able to go to Egyp in The Sims 3 and tour the tombs within the pyramids. I may encounter mummies, or come across ancient artifacts. Should I tell about that adventure into the tomb, or just give background information about the pyramids?

Would it be more interesting for me to just create a video of my Sim visiting France, Egypt, and China instead? I'm not sure if their would be commentary in the backgound, but I am able to just keep the original sounds from the game in the videos.

Or should I do a train story?

  1. I think that telling what adventures you encounter with the SIms at those particular locations would be interesting. It would give more insight to your audience about how the game works. I'm not someone who knows anything about the Sims, but I think your project would reflect the Sims game better if you included your adventures rather than background information. Or maybe you can find a way to incorporate both. If you're able to keep the same sounds that would be in the game on your google maps, would your commentary be written? That would be cool to read, it would be as if you were on a 'treasure hunt' almost, reading about your location, having an adventure, and then on to the next one. Hope this helps! Your project sounds interesting.
